 Black Square Activated Carbon Nonwoven fabric Sponge Air Filter Pads  For Smoke Absorber  hybrid filter (HF) with powdered activated carbon (PAC) coating was used to address the challenges associated with adsorbent injections in improving Hg0 removal efficiency. The HF was combined with a bag filter and an ESP in a single chamber. Originally designed to remove fine PM, the system was retrofitted to the flue gas control device for simultaneous removal of mercury. The pressure drop and mercury removal efficiency were analyzed in laboratory experiments to determine the optimal PAC coating rate under operational conditions in a coal-fired power plant. The filter thus coated was employed in a pilot-scale HF that was installed between the ESP and the FGD unit in a commercial coal-fired power plant. The effect of the PAC coating on the mercury removal efficiency of the HF was investigated by measuring and comparing the mercury concentrations at its inlet and outlet.
